Gemstones and Crystals have been adorned by the rich and powerful for thousands of years.

They have always been loved for their beauty and healing/spiritual properties, now they are more easy to aquire and within the price range most people can afford. Meaning that more and more people are now buying the Crystals and Gemstones to try out their healing properties and not just their beauty. Crystals/Gemstones are also good for use with pets also around the house, garden, plus much more. (more about pets and Crystals further down).

All Crystals/Gemstones have their own particular vibration. These vibrations are said to help with Healing the Mind, Body & Spirit. When the energies of Crystals/Gemstones are added to our own energies a combined vibrational force is created and our vibrations will merge in perfect harmony, they will help to realign any imbalance of energies and remove blockages. This in turn will help healing to take place.

   Choosing a Crystal/Gemstone

Always pick a Crystal/Gemstone that you are attracted to, you can also pick a suitable stone by picking the type that relates to your birthstone. Handle the stone, how does it feel? If you feel its offensive put it back down and try another, you may find that you are drawn to a Citrine and try several of those stones before finding one that you feel happy with, once you have purchased your stone it will need cleansing and you may want to program it to do a specific task. (see below on how to do this).

Cleansing you Crystal/Gemstone

A few Crystals never need cleansing, Citrine, Kyanite and Azeztulite, as these are self cleansing. Clear Quartz and Carnelian cleanse other Crystals, and are very useful for delicate and friable stones, but then your Quartz and Carnelian may need cleansing afterwards. Crystals that are non-friable can be cleaned held under running water or dipped in sea salt water. As you do this simply imagine all the negative energy being washed away. Keep Carneilian in a bag with other gemstones and they will never need any cleansing as the Carnelian will do the job for you.

Programing your Crystals

Once cleansed simply hold the appropriate Crystal/Gemstone on your hand for about 15-20 minutes and think about what you want the item to do for you, keep it simple. For instance if you suffer from shoulder pain: cleanse Blue Lace Agate , hold it in your hands, think about your shoulder, how it should be, relaxed, un tensed, fully mobile. This imparts the stone with positive energies, once programmed the stone is now ready, pop it in your pocket, or hold it, you could just lay down with your stone placed where the pain is. All of these effective as the Crystal will be working in your Aura. Once the stones are programmed you will not have to reprogram, unless you wish to use it for something different. However your stones will need regular cleansing.

Working with your Crystal/Gemstone

When your stone has been cleansed and is ready to use you can just sit quietly and just hold the stone, or place it on the appropriate area and sit quietly, relaxed, and let the stone do its work. You can also chose to wear the stone, by wrapping it with wire to keep it secure, or simply place the stone in your pocket. Some stones are stronger than others, and sometimes its better to build up the time you have the stone about your person. Lets say for instance, the first time you use the stone for 15-20 minutes, this was ok but you were staring to feel a little fidgety, the next time you use it add around 10 minutes to the time, until you know that you can have that stone with you for as long as you need. I myself wore Indian Turquoise on several occasions all day, and everything was fine, until one time I forgot to remove the piece of jewelry before going to bed and this resulted for me in a very UN-restful sleep, the stone was actually causing me to dream continually during the night. From this I made sure I now take off any Turquoise jewelry before retiring to bed. Every person is different, but for me Turquoise is a day time stone.

Crystals and pets

Yes its true animals do suffer from aches, pains and stress just as we do, and because Crystals/Gemstones work on an energy level they are just as good for your pets. Whichever Crystal/Gemstone you chose for your pet, introduce it slowly, let your pet see and smell the Crystals/Gemstones whilst you are holding it, please don’t let you pet eat them as this would be dangerous. Once you have introduced the Crystals/Gemstones to your pet, you can let the healing energies take place, simply holding the chosen item just an inch or two away from your pet would be sufficient (this is called working in the Aura). Once your pet has received enough of the energies for the time being, they will let you know by moving away or getting fidgety.

When working with pets like fish, simply place the chosen Crystals/Gemstones next to the tank and the energies will be transferred into the water. DO NOT PLACE CRYSTALS OR GEMSTONES INTO THEIR WATER TANK AS SOME STONES ARE TOXIC.

You can give your pets regular treatments, so long as the pet is willing. You may notice improvement straight away, some ailments may take several treatments.

My daughter acquired a lovely female dog from pup, the dog being of pure breed could not be sold due to a heart murmur, her breathing was very rapid and out of rhythm, the veterinary report was very bad and didn’t give much hope for her having much of a life, very short walks and not much excitement was the rule. After a few weeks I decided to attach a Green Aventurine in a coil to her collar, just to see if there would be any improvement, within a month her breathing was more relaxed and she had oceans of energy, not long after (about 2 months) I noticed the Crystal had disappeared, my daughter informed me that the Crystal was lost during a walk, this I take that the crystal had fulfilled its purpose, and no longer being of use to the dog, now she is 2 and a half years old, full of life/energy and can walk my daughter and partner into the ground. She was taken to the vets for her annually check up 4 months ago and was given praise as he stated he was very very impressed with the progress made and that the murmur was no longer detectable on the apparatus he was using and after using a different machine he said that it was still there but was barely recognizable and she should be all clear by her next check up, this came as a supprise to them as when she was first diagnosed they said it was a very serious case.

With this I say don’t be afraid to use Crystals/Gemstones on your pets, when they feel they have had enough, or when the Crystals/Gemstones has fulfilled what it can achieve, you will know. Again please DO NOT LET YOUR PETS EAT THEM.
