Tera-Mai Reiki/Seichem Teaching Master
The History Of Reiki in the 20th Century
Reiki is a very ancient healing method, rediscovered at the turn of the century by Dr. Mikao Usui in ancient Sanskrit texts, after a long and dedicated quest. The text contained the intellectual knowledge necessary, but Dr. Usui had to undergo a near fatal three week fasting meditation before he received the healing empowerment of the system. Dr. Usui founded a Reiki clinic in Japan, and taught what he had learned to several other highly evolved Japanese gentleman. In the thirties an American lady named Mrs. Hawayo Takata, was cured of a serious tumor at the Reiki clinic. She decided to dedicate her life to Reiki and asked to be trained by the Japanese Masters. At first they refused, but seeing her earnestness, eventually Dr. Chujiro Hayashi agreed to instruct her.
Just before the Second World War Dr. Hayashi completed Mrs. Takata’s training and told her to take the knowledge to the west and to preserve the tradition. Mrs. Takata created 22 Reiki Masters in her life time, and shortly before her death she also instructed her Granddaughter Phyllis Lei Furumoto. Meanwhile in Japan, Some Reiki Masters survived the War, and there are Japanese lineage’s unconnected with Mrs. Takata.
Traditional Seichem Masters claim that their knowledge is derived from the same ancient Sanskrit Text where Dr. Usui found the Reiki information.
Tera-Mai is the registered trade mark of Kathleen Milner (USA), author of Reiki and Other Rays Of Touch Healing. Originally trained in traditional Reiki and Seichem, Kathleen then had a series of consciousness-raising experiences where she was shown updated attunement procedures & symbols for the Reiki and Seichem attunements, more suitable for the raised vibrational frequency of the times in which we live.
Healing on all levels
Healing energy is also good for animals, plants, the Earth, everything. I have just come back from a holiday in Torquay, while I was there I spent a little time in Plymouth, I took a quick walk along the Barbican, while walking up a back street, leading off the main street, I felt the presence of a man pulling on my arm, as if he was either trying to get me to stay in that spot for a while, or as if he needed help to walk up the street. This man stayed with me all the way back to Torquay, so I decided to meditate to try and find out what he wanted, during the meditation he was very quick to come through, he showed himself to me a tall slender man, he didn’t give me his name, this wasn’t needed, he very kindly showed me an item, I would say possibly something to do with his profession, then I saw him being covered in a mauve/violet light, which is a healing light, then the gentleman was on his way, so I had in-fact pulled this poor gentleman all the way from Plymouth to Torquay, but he obviously knew that I would help him along his way and this is what I did. So you can see from the above that healing work is not only needed for some of the living, but also needed by some of the spirits.
I did not have very long in Plymouth but I will be going back to Torquay next year and I am hoping to spend more time on the Barbican and surrounding areas in Plymouth. From what I did see and experience, in the time I was there I can honestly say the history and the feel of the place gives me something to look forward to on a return visit.
